FIDM
Going to design school after this - there is a lot riding on it. The cost is that I’ll have to travel into LA for 12 months while living at home (which, as I recently got into a car accident, I’m not excited about) not to mention the hefty price tag: ~$26,000! Another UC year, basically. But what will the benefits be?
A step into a possible career, specialization, know-how, connections… wouldn’t most people find these things to be priceless in the future? I can’t survive another financial lecture, but am I shooting myself in the foot by stepping away from more traditional education to go be specialized? Life is about taking chances. This will just have to be mine. Even though many people wonder why instead of dancing I would take this wild turn, but I am looking for security as well as job excitement and a colorful work environment, including people and events.
Once I’m done with this year, I will be done with my undergraduate education, but I know that the skills that I’ve learned and the level of thinking that I was forced to do from time to time will help me challenge myself as well as the people around me.
